We have had two more children here in Dayton has been affeceted by the type b flu . One at the High School and one at the same school Heaven was enrolled at Dayton City. I am heart broken over this matter.

Heaven was a sweet and loving child.
My son is heart broken over this. I pray for Heaven family every night with my children.

As far as Dr,Nelson stating that this was an act of God. God does not put this up on a person to suffer with pain and sickness. Why didn't he put this child in the hospital before it gotten that bad.
I know Dr.Nelson and I will not ever take my children to him . I pray that he steps up to be a better Doctor after this one. We as parenet puts our trust in our children doctors and some of them
thinks they know more about our children than we do.

I pray that the good lord above watches over the family and help them threw this .. I will keep this in my heart forever and always.

I feel sorry for the parents and family of Heaven, this is truly a tragedy...one that did not have to happen! First of all without an autopsy, we will never know if she really died from the flu, or some other illness or even some type of reaction to an antibiotic, or even to a wrong treatment for a misdiagnosis. I can understand the parents reluctance to an autopsy...without it we will never know what really killed this little girl. Besides all of that I guess no one gets it! If she really died from the flu, why didn't the vaccination she was given beforehand protect her from the flu. What kind of ludicrous statement is it for a "Professional" and an "M.D." to urge parents to vaccinate their children for the flu because a child who had been vaccinated prior to her illness died. Think about it The news story about Heaven said that 'the parents did all they could, but it wasn't enough' Amen to that one!
I guess common sense (if there is any left) would be to find another way to protect our children from the flu other than flu shots.
